Hi Pouring 5000 sq ft 6" slab in basement. Using W4xW4-4x4 WWF mesh (plus fiber). Need to purchase plastic chairs for the mesh . . . have a hunch I need 1 per 4 sq ft . . . 1250 chairs . . . the concrete will be pumped . . . believe the crew will operate from plywood over the mesh . . . just moving back the plywood back as they progress.
Method Statement for Reinforced Concrete Pour P reparing for the pour. Pre pour checks and check sheet ( if part of your QA system) must be completed prior to the pour, check line and levels, check the steel reinforcement against the current issued drawings, if you are not experienced then ask the sub or site agent to check this section of work.
Concrete, usually Portland cement concrete, is a composite material composed of fine and coarse aggregate bonded together with a fluid cement (cement paste) that hardens over time—most frequently a lime-based cement binder, such as Portland cement, but sometimes with other hydraulic cements, such as a calcium aluminate cement.
1. Introduction. The cracking and deflection behavior of concrete structure under flexure and minimum flexural reinforcement of concrete members depends upon the flexural tensile strength or modulus of rupture of concrete in addition to other factors.
Cement Content Testing. The cement content of concrete is important from the aspect of durability, impermeability and strength. Too low a cement content may cause inadequate structural capability or more frequently may not provide a durable protective environment for the steel reinforcement, permitting rapid carbonation and subsequent loss of ...
